During the 1980s, American radio host, voiceover actor and television personality Shadoe Stevens garnered a cult following when he created and produced a series of insane commercials called "Fred Rated for Federated," a long running set of offbeat TV ads for The Federated Group, a chain of home electronics retailers in the western US. The ads were so popular they were the subject of a two-page spread in Time Magazine and led to a movie deal, television shows and his run as host on American Top 40.
Shadoe has preserved and uploaded 94 mins of the greatest of "Fred Rated" on YouTube for your own brain bludgeoning pleasure.
