Over the summer, while Nick Cave was in town with The Bad Seeds, we hosted a series of advance screenings of 20,000 Days On Earth. Of special note were two screenings (one in LA and the other in NYC) where Cave participated in a relaxed, audience-driven Q&A and a solo piano performance after a screening of the film. These events sold out almost instantaneously.
Nick Cave, along with 20,000 Days On Earth directors Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard (and some additional special guests), will be returning to NYC, this time to a bigger venue, for a screening and performance following a similar format. And we're partnering with Noisey (of VICE Media) to present a live stream of the performance and Q&A. The date will be Saturday, September 20th. Fans are encouraged to submit questions in advance via Twitter to @drafthousefilms with the hashtag #20000Days: a selection will be chosen for Cave and guests to answer during the discussion.
Tickets for the event will go on sale this Saturday via Ticketmaster, but will be available 24 hours earlier (Friday at noon EST) for Nick Cave fans who are subscribed to his mailing list right here.
20,000 Days On Earth opens theatrically in NYC at Film Forum on September 17th and expands across the country throughout September and October! See the full list of dates here.
